INDIA shining but BHARAT loosing lustre

February 14, 2009

INDIA is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. It is growing by leaps and bounds in almost every field. It has been very stable in the worst conditions of recession and global meltdown as compared to other economies. It has fought with great courage with each and every situation whether it is an internal matter or external. Indians have been known throughout the world for their expertise and hardwork in many industries specially IT industry in which India is leading now a days.India’s GDP is rising at a rate of 7.1% and it’s running very fast in the race of developing nations.
Now let us see the other side of the coin. With the country’s progress reaching new highs, small farmers are committing suicides because of helplessness. They are not even availed with proper facilities of irrigation and electricity. The rift between the rich and poor is widening day by day.At one side we have four Indians in the list of top ten richest people in the world and on the other side many are not able to afford two course meal for their family. What is the use of Pizza hut and McDonalds then? We protest over insignificant matters but we remain indifferent towards important matters which ought to be of concern to everyone. We have IIts, IIMs and many such big institutes but still a large fraction of indians don’t know how to write their names.
We must take positive steps through which we can again make BHARAT the country it was a few centuries ago “sone ki chidia”. This we can do by uniting together and encouraging the feeling of integrity so that no one can again follow the “divide and rule” policy against us and loot us like before. We must make aware the people around us about our strengths and urge them to stand united against major problems like corruption, pollution, population etc.

hostel

January 5, 2009

I am anuj nema pursuing my engineering in electronics and telecommunication from sgsits indore. The purpose of my blog is just to introduce you people to the hostel life which i think to be the best of all.You live in the hostel for a month and you will never forget the place , you will never forget the atmosphere, you will never forget the people and relationships. You can’t stay away.Hostel life prepares you for anything that comes in your life and make you adapt in any kind of atmosphere. This adds golden unforgettable memories to your life. You start living like a family. You cry at others sorrow. you feel happy at others achievements. You forget about your tensions and screw up your studies. You come with top ranks and get admission at the hostel and then you wonder how you had been studying like asses with goods loaded for so many years. You have a feeling of oneness. You have a support of 100 when you do anything. You feel like a king with so many supporters. No one can say anything about you or do you any harm just because you live in the hostel.

EXPERIENCES:
you enter a hostel and you find the stinking smell of toilets enveloping the whole atmosphere.
loud muzic banging like drums in your ears as if the person playing it is getting paid for it.
boys abusing each other creating new abuses and get amused by that.the boy abusing and the boy getting abused both laughing at each other as if praising each other by abusing.
u may find boys moving about topless or in undergarments.
or playing cricket in the corridor.
u open the door of a room and you find 8 boys occupying 2 beds, watching a movie and as you try to join them for the movie by sitting at the bed and at the very instance one of the legs of the bed breaks.
you open the doors of another room and you find 10 people dancing.
at 12 in the night when all humans are asleep its the start of the day “engineers never sleep”
your mummy sends you eatables and at the very first day you may find empty boxes as all your friends have already worked there skills.
you have one bucket and ten persons using it.
you wake up in the morning and desperately want to go to toilet but u find there is no water coming from the tap so u take bucket of your neighbour and go to the watertank in front of the hostel , bring water but the toilet is occupied by your friend now, so you end up inside a toilet which has no door under the fear what if somebody comes and see you.
you have your exams after 2 days but instead of studies you are more interested in chatting with your friends about ghost stories, girls and many such important topics all the night and the last night you go from one room to the other discussing important questions.you have tea , poha , sandwich at your hostel canteen where others are discussing how much they have studied.canteen makes an awesome sight if you remember it after the exams – tensions at each and every face still you manage to smile at the pj’s.
you bring a brand new soap and find it being circulated to ten the very day.
you give electric iron to your neighbour at the ground floor and after two days you find it in a room at the 2nd floor.
you dont waste time in bathing, washing clothes.

your friend takes your new shirt and returns it to you after one week of regular use but you are so kind that you wash it and become fool as somebody else takes it the next day.

you cant say no to anyone.

food:
hmmmm yum yum
you are a king at home as you get whatever you want so is the case here.you get whatever you want , you fix the menu and find the dish to be so tasty that you never wish to eat it again.
chapatis are just 3mm thin
ooh wow your friend found an insect inside his ‘pao bhaji’ and mess in charge takes the insect in his hand , crushes it by his finger and says that it was just one of the spices.hats off to his wit.
someday there was a meeting in our college and our mess was given the charge for preparing food for the teachers and that day the food quality , the taste changed .
we all asked the panditji in the mess that what happened today as there is a dramatic change in the food quality and all .we wonder what happens to the same cooks the rest of the days.

SENTI SENTI::

i think that every hostel is full of sentiments.we live together for a few years(4 years in our case) and we share such strong bondage , such firm relations which keeps ourselves connected for years to come.We sometimes forget the friends we had in our childhood but we can never forget our hostel friends. This may be because we are away from our “home sweet home” and our parents and we dont have our parents with us.As a result we try to connect with friends and derive the love and affection from them which (had we been at home) would have been derived from our parents.whatever may be the case hostel friends are unforgettable.

you fell ill and your friends take you to doctors, make milk for you at night, bring water and eatables for you and take as good care of you as your parents.

FUN::

you play cards the whole night, and then go to bed at 9am after having your breakfast.

you go for movies with a group of 20 boys in a show from 9pm and come shouting, screaming and singing on the roads.

you, feeling hungry at 2 am, go to SARAFA at rajwada with friends for having pohas and jalebi.

you take your friend’s cell phone and propose a girl in his class by calling or messaging at your friend’s behalf .

you talk to a girl in the college and your friends start hooting till the girl goes away(or sometimes never talks to you again) and you do the same when one of your friends is doing the same.

and many such awesome experiences

As i am an optimist i would not like to quote my bad experiences in the hostel or the things that i dont like about the hostel.they say that “every coin has two sides” but i say “why to bother about the side which you dont like!!!!,see the positives and ignore the negatives else take everything positively “

Hello world!
